Diana Small Tourist Guide

Diana has guided, in the capacity of a Blue Badge Guide a large proportion of our London and out of town sightseeing tours for a number of years. She has without exception always offered an exemplary service to our guests, full of knowledge and offers those little bits of extra information, which the guests often are looking for.

She has remained calm and professional in all instances, particularly when road closures affected our routes. The Olympic Games spring to mind!!

It has and always will be a great pleasure and re-assurance to know that Diana is guiding our groups, be it around Tower of London, or a leisurely walk in Bath.

Martyn Percival, General Manager, Travcorp UK Ltd

Diana has worked for us for 13 years guiding groups of all nationalities on coach and walking tours of London, as well as the interiors of some of the most important historic buildings in London such as Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, St Paul's cathedral and the Tower of London.  She is bright, friendly and warm and as well as having excellent knowledge of her subject matter she will always engage visitors and add hugely to their appreciation of the sites they visit.

Monica Carney, Tour Guides Ltd

For many years Diana provided a most interesting and informative river commentary for our luxury cruise vessels travelling up and down the Thames. The commentary was always very well received by the passengers and crew and provided a valuable insight into the river's history and a warm welcome or (a goodbye) from London. I learnt something new about the river every time I heard it! Diana is the consummate professional and a delight to work with and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her to anyone

Diana has worked for The Adult Education College Bexley, now The Learning Centre Bexley, since 1992, as a tutor for the hugely popular and successful history course, London Comes Alive. She has also been instrumental in devising walks and tours and then taking her students to a variety of places during this time. Diana remains popular with all her students and all her courses continue to be full.

This year we have planned visits to Kenwood House, Royal Windsor and Eton and The Pub, Pond and Parish Lock up Walk in Hampstead.

Diana Small was the leader and guide for a recent tour of Belgravia by a small group, organised by myself, who were visiting central London. Her breadth of knowledge, attention to detail, clear speaking voice, outgoing personality and sense of humour ensured that the tour was a total success in every way, enjoyed by all the participants. We considered ourselves very fortunate to have had the benefit of such an experienced, professional and attractive guide.

Diana gave us a tour of Belgravia and she was fascinating, it didn't feel like just the standard pitter patter but she was taking us down nooks and crannies and it really felt like we were discovering the real Belgravia.

Her depth of knowledge amazed me - she had such an in-depth knowledge and was happy to answer any of our questions and also adapt the tour to what we wanted to see which was great as it felt very personal to us

What a great guide - she was so knowledgeable but also managed to bring it all to life, we were all fascinated by the stories that she was telling us and were really happy that we had her for the morning.
